Scotland 2050 will hold its inaugural conference in Edinburgh in 2025. 

The event aims to bring together leading figures from the world of business, politics, and civic society to share innovative ideas, knowledge, and understanding of where Scotland should aspire to be in 2050. 

VISION

The vision of Scotland 2050 is to create an inclusive platform for discussing the future of Scotland by addressing the big questions of where we want Scotland to be by 2050.

The initiative acknowledges global and domestic challenges and seeks to inspire innovative thinking and a reimagined future. It fosters an ambitious atmosphere, encouraging participants to propose credible paths forward.

By bringing together experts from civil society, industry, academia and policy, Scotland 2050 promotes creative and informed debate on today’s big ideas and the journey toward a better future.
